President and CEO’s Message

Samantha Chong

Welcome to the College of Healthcare Profession in Greater China!

It is my great honour to be the President and CEO of the College.  With my over 40 years’ experience in healthcare systems, training and consultancy in nursing education, I am excited to share my knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of specialised nursing in Hong Kong and Greater China.

The College of Healthcare Profession in Greater China Limited (CHPGC) was established in 2021 to provide a professional platform to achieve specialised nursing excellence.  Specialisation in nursing is an ever-growing international trend.  CHPGC represents an important milestone in the development of specialised nursing in Hong Kong and eventually in Greater China.  Enormous groundwork had been laid down by many of our visionary nursing leaders.   Riding on their successes, I will continue to commit to the development and regulation of specialised nursing practices in Hong Kong and Greater China, with an aim to strive for excellence with best nursing practices that can benchmark with international standards.  This will be carefully accomplished through our four cornerstones in the area of nursing Education, Practice, Research and Policy.

The College will design and build practical curriculum which provides both on-line and off-line professional training and consultancy, talks, seminars, webinars, conferences and education events to the nursing community with an aim to upgrade their professional knowledge and skills, both in specialised nursing practices and management.  It also promotes evidence-based practices to safeguard its quality through effective talents and leadership in the industry.  The College facilitates healthcare researches and policy that set professional standards, thereby contributing to the future development of healthcare services in Hong Kong and Greater China.

Looking ahead with the favourable landscape and policies of the Central Government and HKSAR government in the promotion of Greater Bay development, CHPGC will strengthen our work in Hong Kong’s specialised nursing training and consultancy, and enhance the collaboration with both local and international strategic partners, with an ultimate aim to extend the network and influence to cover important provinces in Greater Bay areas.

I sincerely invite you to walk hand in hand with CHPGC to nurture our future nursing talents in Hong Kong with an aim to upgrade the overall quality of nursing care and share Hong Kong’s best practices to develop excellent, distinctive, innovative and technology-based nursing practices in Greater China.

You are welcome to give us your valuable suggestions and improvement recommendations.   As always, we count on your continual support!
